This Shrimp Broth Unlocked a Core Memory—Here’s Where to Find It

Do you ever eat something and it immediately takes you back to a place in time? This was totally my experience after one sip of the shrimp broth at Le Shrimp Noodle Bar.

THE MOOD:
Le Shrimp Noodle Bar is on the bottom floor of the food hall in Bloomingdale’s in South Coast Plaza Mall. The vibe while eating there feels like you’re eating at an outdoor food stall since you are able to people watch as you eat.

There are booths and tables along the edges of the restaurant with a kitchen in the back as well as larger tables in the middle of the restaurant.

THE FOOD:
The shrimp broth – what can I say? *chef’s kiss* One sip and I was immediately transported back to when I traveled overseas. The broth was rich had depth of flavor. We ordered the Signature Trio Shrimp Broth Noodle and opted for the thick noodles.

The Signature Trio comes with
-Prawn
-Ebiko prawn ball
-Prawn and chicken wonton
-Their delicious shrimp broth
-Cabbage and green onion

*Tip1: You can order as a combo so that it comes with a drink or side ($23.90) or just the noodle dish by itself ($18.95).

*Tip 2: If you love noodles, go for the thick noodles. They are chewy and soak up the broth so nicely.

Presentation of the noodles could have been a little better. The great thing about their menu was that there seemed to be a picture for every item, including the Signature Trio Shrimp Broth Noodle. However, the picture on the menu looked very different from what actually arrived at the table. Nevertheless, the Signature Trio was still tasty!

THE ‘TUDE:
Service was nice – they get you in and out!

OVERALL:
Will definitely be back, especially on a chilly day for a warm bowl of noodles.
